Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations for its Offsite Manufacturing division in Spokane, WA. This role leads all day-to-day operations, guides value streams, and partners with Manufacturing Engineering, Operation Excellence, and Finance to deliver safe, on-time and cost-effective modular production.

The role emphasizes building a high-performing team, deploying Lean and Kaizen methods, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards in a regulated manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 8+ years of manufacturing/plant operations leadership, including 3+ years managing a production facility.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality management systems, and continuous improvement tools (ISO-9001 / IAFT16949, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, VSM).
• Experience managing safety programs and reducing TRIR.
• Strong financial acumen: cost variance analysis, capital planning, P&L knowledge a plus.
• Proficiency with ERP/MES systems and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of assigned locations and value streams to meet safety, quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Own value stream delivery schedule, quality, safety and cost targets; assist with budget, labor planning and variance analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean/kaizen; reduce waste, shorten cycle times and improve first-pass quality.
• Build and coach a high-performing manufacturing team with aligned staffing and succession plans.
