Job summary

Janicki Industries is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily production cells in Sedro-Woolley, WA. The role requires strong people management, cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and support functions, and supervising up to 100 personnel across shifts.

The candidate will back up the Operations Director, assist in training cell managers, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining 5S standards and ensuring safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, technical engineering or business degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily function and execution of production cells.
• Analyze workforce utilization, space, and workflow for optimal resources.
• Backfill for Director/Cell Managers during absences.
• Monitor production KPIs and labor metrics.
• Support continuous improvement across work centers.
• Assist in training new cell managers/leads and cross-training.
• Document lessons learned from complex projects.
• Coordinate cross-cell movement of shared resources.
• Oversee on-boarding for new production staff.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement cross-training.
• Own 5S standards and provide site direction on practices.
• Support audits and plant scheduling.
• Inspire teams, maintain morale, and meet deadlines.
