Job summary

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a management role in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact with customers and suppliers at all levels.
• Effective planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Highly customer focused with the ability to liaise at all levels both externally and internally.
• Demonstrated leadership and financial & business acumen.
• Knowledge and experience of lean practice within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, development, and control of the operations business areas in the successful execution of contracts in line with customers schedules, specifications, and cost targets.
• Ensure measurements, control, and systems are implemented to drive operational objectives.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and customer focus.
• Plan, monitor and control the utilization of human and material resources to achieve programs and drive performance.
• Promote a lean enterprise to deliver agility in quality, cost, and delivery.
• Motivate and develop staff and manage performance in line with business goals.
• Collaborate with HR to maintain productive Labor Union and employee relations environments.
• Provide direction and performance management within the Operations Team.
