Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. (Spirit Defense) in Wichita is seeking a Lean/Continuous Improvement professional to lead manufacturing improvements. You will apply Lean tools, coach cross-functional teams, and drive kaizen events to deliver cost savings and performance gains.

Requirements include 5+ years in Lean manufacturing, strong communication with executives, and experience with SAP/ERP/MRP systems. The role is union-represented with a comprehensive Total Rewards package.

Qualifications

5+ years of related work experience in Lean manufacturing.
Strong communication with executive leaders.
Experience with SAP, ERP, MRP systems.
Ability to balance multiple projects and lead cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Provide awareness, knowledge, guidance, and the application of Lean principles.
Coach, train and mentor cross-functional teams in Lean tools (VSM, 6S, Kanban, etc.).
Develop Lean Strategy/Plan and implement kaizen events.
Engage workforce to achieve successful Lean implementation and cost savings.
