Job summary

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support plant accounting at a manufacturing facility in North Vernon, Indiana. On-site, full-time contract (W2) for 3 months to cover a maternity leave, reporting to the Finance Manager.

You will manage monthly close, standard cost, inventory valuation, SOX controls, and support forecasts, budgets, audits and cost studies to drive profitability. On-site work, with production floor compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Hands-on ERP experience required.
• Above-average Excel skills required.
• Strong business acumen, organizational and problem-solving skills, and ethical practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, administer, and maintain internal financial controls and SOX controls.
• Maintain standard cost input process for material, labor and overhead, and cost roll changes in production.
• Prepare standard and miscellaneous journal entries for monthly close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate accounting for material transactions and inventory valuation; reconcile perpetual inventory to the general ledger after physical counts.
• Prepare data and analysis in ERP systems (QAD, MFG/Pro) for internal and external reporting.
• Assist with monthly forecasts, the annual budget, cost studies and new business evaluations.
• Support internal and external audits and track capital project spending and capitalization.
