Job summary

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group in North Vernon, Indiana seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support plant accounting at a manufacturing facility. This contract role covers close, inventory valuation, and cost analysis.

You will work with the Finance Manager and plant teams to deliver data for sound business decisions. This 3-month maternity leave coverage has a potential extension and is on-site only in North Vernon, IN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing accounting role.
• Hands-on ERP experience.
• Above-average Excel skills.
• Strong business acumen, organizational and problem-solving skills, and ethical practice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, administer and maintain internal financial controls and SOX controls.
• Maintain the standard cost input process for material, labor and overhead, and cost roll changes in production.
• Prepare standard and miscellaneous journal entries for the monthly close and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate accounting for material transactions and inventory valuation; reconcile perpetual inventory to the general ledger after physical counts.
• Prepare data and analysis in QAD and other systems for internal and external reporting.
• Assist with monthly forecasts, the annual budget, cost studies and new business evaluations.
• Support internal and external audits and track capital project spending and capitalization.
