Merck is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer for its Irving, Texas site to support advanced equipment maintenance and process improvements. The role focuses on diagnosing hardware and automation faults, implementing corrective actions, and coordinating with multiple teams to ensure safety, quality, and reliability.

Candidates should have strong problem-solving abilities, hands-on maintenance experience, and proficiency with PLCs, sensors, and electrical systems.

Formación

• Demonstrated hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, setting up, and optimizing industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Advanced experience diagnosing and resolving complex faults across automation, mechanical, and electrical systems (PLCs, sensors, actuators).
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings; safely isolate failures.

Responsabilidades

• Champions company ethics, safety standards, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements.
• Provides advanced technical support for equipment setup, changeover, and troubleshooting.
• Drives root-cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions for equipment issues.
• Develops preventive maintenance strategies and coordinates with Operations, Maintenance, Planning, and Engineering.
• Leads or supports cross-functional teams and delivers training to strengthen site capabilities.
