Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Baltimore, MD seeks a Manager Manufacturing Engineering 2 to lead the AIMS manufacturing cell, overseeing fabrication of printed wiring boards, manifolds and backplanes for RF hardware, and guiding process development.

The role requires strong leadership, 8+ years in manufacturing/management, and the ability to coordinate with area management, suppliers, and customers. On-site role with security clearance requirements and 10% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related STEM area with 8 years of relevant experience (6 years with MS).
• Experience in development of Electronic Products or Mechanical Assemblies and Manufacturing Processes.
• Minimum 3 years of prior Program, People, Project Management or Leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Personnel management duties including career development, employee engagement, time approval, staffing, yearly reviews, and related activities.
• Oversight of direct report's work on projects developing or maintaining Manufacturing Processes within AIMS.
• Process ownership for product and process development including producibility, affordability, quality, technology roadmaps.
• Brief upper management, project management and customers on process technology, product issues and status.
• Work with area management, SMEs, suppliers to troubleshoot and solve issues related to production of AIMS products.
• Support Manufacturing Process development and related activities, including technology roadmaps.
• Collaborate with manufacturing team to clarify quotations and deliverables and promote knowledge transfer.
• Plan and coordinate capital equipment and process development projects and budgets.
• Communicate effectively across disciplines to solve complex issues.
