Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a manufacturing/engineering professional to design and lead factory transformation projects, optimizing welding and brazing processes for performance, cost, and quality. You will develop layouts, improve productivity, and ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, and PED standards, while coaching teams and guiding problem solving.

Based on a 5+ year manufacturing background, you will collaborate with EHS, deliver work instructions, and support equipment integration.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management, Process Automation and AutoCAD or similar design software experience; MIG, TIG welding experience (manual and robotic).
  • ASME, AWS, and PED code compliance knowledge.
  • Familiarity with pressure vessel welding process.
  • Ability to coach, advise and develop teammates and peers.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred; degree holders encouraged to apply if practical experience aligns with leadership principles.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop processes for factory transformation projects and equipment implementation.
  • Improve productivity, quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, and downtime reduction.
  • Provide technical/subject matter expertise and guidance for manufacturing process and product design problems related to welding/braze processes.
  • Serve as a resource for investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls to optimize efficiency, costs, and quality.
  • Act as subject matter expert for welding process compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Maintain manufacturing standards including capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source.
  • Collaborate with on-site EHS to ensure equipment meets safety regulations (OSHA).

What you will do:
  • Design and develop processes for factory transformation projects and equipment implementation.
  • Improve productivity, quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, and downtime reduction.
  • Provide technical/subject matter expertise and guidance for the resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems specific to the welding and/or braze processes.
  • Serve as a resource for cause/effect investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning.
  • Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls that optimize efficiency, operating costs, and product quality.
  • Be the subject matter expert for code and regulatory compliance for welding processes within the manufacturing facility.
  • Uphold manufacturing standards including: machine capability, process maps, set-ups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings and cycle times.
  • Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work to ensure quality at the source meets product and manufacturing specifications given local needs.
  • Partner with on-site EHS to ensure all equipment meets safety regulations compliant with OSHA.
What you will bring:
  • 5+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management, Process Automation and AutoCAD or similar design software experience MIG, TIG welding experience (manual and robotic).

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $75,700.00 - $156,200.00 Compensation Type: Salary Incentive Eligible: No Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
