Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own and improve equipment reliability in a defined production area in Louisville, KY. You will lead maintenance teams, drive TPM, and implement preventive maintenance, safety, and uptime improvements.

You will provide technical leadership, manage capital projects, troubleshoot PLCs and electrical systems, and coordinate with AMEs and engineers to meet plant objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical work experience.
• Proven PLC Controls/Electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership abilities.
• Experience supervising in high-volume manufacturing with union operators.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to Plant Operations and maintenance teams.
• Be single point of contact for technical changes and decision making.
• Improve Preventive Maintenance plans for the area.
• Perform root-cause analysis, read schematics, and troubleshoot PLCs and drives.
• Support EHS, schedule attainment, productivity and cost controls.
• Drive TPM program and continuous improvement for uptime and reliability.
• Coordinate with AMEs to meet efficiency goals.
• Train and guide AMEs, Process Improvement Engineers, and maintenance staff.
• Initiate actions to resolve recurring production problems and optimize maintenance.
