Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing system design and implementation for space vehicles at the Space Coast, FL site. The role focuses on process development, quality control, and supply chain optimization across production/operations.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in mechanical or aerospace manufacturing, with 3+ years of experience and willingness to work second shift and extended hours. Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.
• 1+ years of experience creating English work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new products across vehicle integration and test, structural assembly, mechanical systems, solar arrays, avionics, fluids, and thermal products.
• Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), design for test (DFT).
• Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building a road to space.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (e.g., composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
• Support root cause analysis of process or product non-conformances; implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001 quality standards and safety standards.
