Job summary

The Vollrath Company LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to support operations with a focus on process definition and continuous improvement. You will collect production and quality data, perform engineering analyses, and drive lean initiatives across work cells.

Responsibilities include sustaining line performance, equipment specification, and leading large project teams. Strong problem-solving, project leadership, and collaboration with Design Engineering are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial).
• Graduate degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations; 7+ years preferred.
• Lean/six-sigma experience and strong problem solving required.
• Experience with quality systems, manufacturing engineering concepts, and NPD is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support Vollrath manufacturing lines with throughput and quality improvements.
• Establish and maintain work cell layouts, equipment specs, and routings.
• Apply advanced problem solving, including statistical methods, across operations.
• Design, specify, and supervise installation of equipment and machinery.
• Train maintenance staff and operators on new equipment and product flow.
• Ensure safety measures for equipment and work cells.
• Identify profit-improvement opportunities via automation and lean methods.
• Lead and participate in lean events and large project teams.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering on product design and tooling.
