Job summary

The Vollrath Company is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. You will lead quality system development, perform audits, and partner with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure robust design and process quality.

You will apply SPC, FMEA, PPAP/FAI, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to prevent defects and reduce risk, mentoring junior engineers and communicating complex results to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• 5-8 years in a Quality Engineering role.
• Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Experience with SPC and Cp/Cpk.
• FMEA, PPAP/FAI, APQP.
• Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt desirable.
• Auditing experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead teams.
• Proficient with MS Office and statistical software (Minitab, JMP).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems.
• Lead and revise quality procedures and plans.
• Conduct audits for compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support management reviews of the quality system.
