Job summary

Vollrath Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III to lead process definition, data-driven improvements, and lean initiatives across assigned production lines. You will partner with engineering, maintenance, and operations to implement cost-saving projects and ensure safe, efficient production.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of experience, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a track record in lean manufacturing and NPD participation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial).
• Graduate degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience; 7+ years preferred.
• Strong problem solving and quality system background.
• Experience with lean practices and NPD processes.

Responsibilities

• Support Vollrath manufacturing lines with throughput and quality improvements.
• Establish work cell design, equipment specs, and routings.
• Apply advanced problem solving using statistical methods.
• Design and supervise equipment installation and tooling.
• Train staff on new equipment and product flow.
• Lead lean events and large, complex project teams.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering and vendors as needed.
• Drive profit improvements through automation and process analysis.
