Job summary

The Vollrath Company LLC is seeking an Area Leader to oversee the Fabrication area, ensuring operations align with business goals and Vollrath principles. You will lead a team of Group Leaders, drive efficiency, and implement area-specific improvement plans.

Responsibilities include managing daily operations, allocating resources, monitoring KPIs, leading Kaizen events, applying lean tools, and ensuring safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in a manufacturing environment with experience in production, maintenance, planning, or quality.
• 5–7 years of experience directly managing people.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Experience in project management and process improvement.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the fabrication area to meet targets.
• Allocate resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Develop and implement area-specific improvement plans.
• Monitor KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Lead and mentor a team of Group Leaders.
• Foster collaboration across all teams in the area.
• Hold regular meetings with Group Leaders to review performance.
• Develop succession plans for key positions.
• Champion continuous improvement culture.
• Lead Kaizen events and lean initiatives.
• Drive lean manufacturing principles and tools.
• Ensure employee engagement in continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met and issues resolved.
