Job summary

Fisica, Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer in San Leandro, CA to lead manufacturing processes for new and existing product lines.

The role interfaces with Engineering, Program Management, Material Planning, and Production to ensure efficient tooling, fixtures, and processes. Responsibilities include analyzing drawings for manufacturability, creating BOMs, and developing costed manufacturing plans.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in Engineering with 6+ years of related experience; MS/ME with 4+ years; or 10+ years in electro-mechanical assembly if no degree.
• Strong knowledge of tool design, material handling, fabrication and assembly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient in MS Office 365; CREO parametric preferred.
• ERP/MES/PLM experience is a plus; travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings for manufacturability, reliability, and cost-to-manufacture; develop production plans.
• Convert engineering docs to manufacturing formats; ensure accurate BOMs and change control.
• Write and update routing sheets for fabrication and assembly; generate manufacturing BOMs.
• Review drawings with GD&T; ensure tolerance stack-up and quality requirements.
• Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and tooling using Creo Parametric.
• Provide sustained production support and Lean/6S improvements.
• Interface with suppliers for process support; analyze manufacturing costs and tooling needs.
• Contribute to process capability audits and corrective actions where needed.
