Job summary

The role closely collaborates with R&D, quality, and operations to ensure robust, scalable production processes. You will mentor 2–4 engineers/technicians, perform root-cause analysis on complex equipment, and manage change control to enable smooth transitions from design to operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of hands-on engineering experience in advanced manufacturing.
• Proven success improving production metrics through design or process changes.
• Ability to empower a team and take calculated technical risks.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; strong problem-solving.
• Experience with automated or semi-automated fixtures; PLC knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical mentorship and people management to a small team of 2–4 who refine and support equipment, design and maintain processes, and develop fixturing.
• Understand, debug, and alter complex proprietary equipment and perform root cause analysis.
• Coordinate product and equipment introduction and change control on the manufacturing floor; ensure smooth hand-offs from R&D to operations.
• Own technical excellence and address quality or yield issues across product manufacturing lines; balance firefighting with long-term fixes.
• Provide clear guidance to production technicians while collaborating with R&D, quality, and operations.
