Job summary

Halo Industries in Santa Clara, CA seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to transition complex production equipment from R&D to pilot manufacturing. You’ll ensure manufacturability, establish build/test processes, and drive cross-functional collaboration for a seamless NPI.

You will lead prototype builds, perform IQ/OQ/PQ validations, and develop scalable processes and tooling. Strong collaboration with R&D, QA, and supply chain is essential.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering; M.S. preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on manufacturing engineering in capital equipment, semiconductor, optical, or medical device industries.
• Proven experience releasing prototype designs into pilot and full production lifecycles.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex electro-mechanical equipment.
• Experience with CAD, ERP/MRP, and PLM/QMS software.
• Demonstrated project leadership and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Design for Excellence (DfX) and technical transfer.
• Translate product requirements into manufacturable designs with R&D engineers.
• Support engineering deliverables by completing BOMs, CAD drawings, and sourcing data in the PLM system.
• Generate, review and execute ECOs during pilot manufacturing.
• Develop, qualify, and optimize scalable manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Design, build, and validate tooling, fixtures, and test stands.
• Create detailed work instructions, SOPs, and technical documentation for production readiness.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers and internal teams for NPI.
• Lead prototype builds and pilot manufacturing runs; manage schedules and milestones.
• Execute IQ/OQ/PQ validations and publish performance reports.
• Utilize PLM and QMS systems (Arena) to maintain workflow and compliance.
• Lead root cause analyses and continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield and reduce costs.
