Job summary

Avionic Instruments, a TransDigm subsidiary, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Tempe, AZ. You will lead process development and continuous improvement across electronics and battery production lines, partnering with operations, engineering, and quality teams to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency while supporting new product introductions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; mechanical, electrical, industrial, aerospace, or manufacturing disciplines accepted.
• 5-7 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a regulated industry.
• Experience with NPI, process documentation, and PFMEA.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes to meet efficiency, quality, and AS9100 standards.
• Design tooling, fixtures, and production equipment.
• Provide daily technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and improve throughput.
• Analyze costs and recommend process improvements or automation.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support new product introductions, including process validation.
• Maintain and improve process documentation.
• Lead engineering changes and collaborate on long-term manufacturing strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Use data and statistical tools to drive decisions and improvements.
