Job summary

Ashton North in Milwaukee seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the setup and optimization of assembly lines, transferring products from design to production with a focus on balance, pfMEA and line efficiency. You will drive continuous improvement, cost reductions, and ISO compliance across manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering, 5–12 years in large-scale manufacturing, strong CAD skills, and knowledge of Lean Six Sigma.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering required; MS preferred.
• 5–12 years in manufacturing engineering in a large assembly operation.
• Proficient CAD (Pro‑E/Creo), Word, Excel and Access.
• Lean / Six Sigma knowledge.
• Experience establishing assembly lines from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup of assembly line, establish processes and documentation.
• Take products from design hand-off to production.
• Plan and lead introduction of products to the floor; manage new processes affecting balance, pfMEA and line efficiency.
• Develop Operations Method Standards for assembly.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement to reduce waste.
• Troubleshoot line problems and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Drive ISO compliance and risk mitigation within manufacturing.
• Oversee line/cell layout, tooling, and part flow; justify capital equipment.
• Advance safety and ergonomic practices.
