Job summary

Nidec is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with 5+ years in a manufacturing setting to design and implement cost-effective processes aligned with quality standards. You will lead Kaizen and Lean initiatives, program CNC machines, and apply CAD tooling know-how to improve efficiency and product launches.

Responsibilities include cross-functional collaboration with engineering, planning and sales, plus participation in DFMA and product transfers across facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related manufacturing experience.
• Leads Kaizen and Lean initiatives to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
• Proficient in CNC programming and robotics; CAD and tooling knowledge.
• Strong problem analysis and resolution capabilities.
• Experience with vendors, customers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes per specs and quality standards.
• Coordinate launches for new or revised products with teams and training.
• Improve processes and methods; drive continuous improvement and Lean methods.
• Interface with engineering, planning and sales to optimize production.
• Lead FMEA activities and manage multiple engineering projects end-to-end.
• Travel to support DFMA/product transfer between facilities as needed.
