Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years’ experience in manufacturing with at least 3 years in a Quality role.
• Leadership in managerial or supervisory role.
• Union environment experience is a plus.
• ASQ certification preferred.
• Data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Lean manufacturing and/or Synchronous Flow knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Spanish as a second language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision of Inspector and Calibration Inspector personnel.
• Manage employee work group across shifts and skill matrix for inspection and auditing.
• Validate timecards and ensure productivity standards.
• Train and evaluate new and transferred employees.
• Operate the document control system for quality documents.
• Control measurement gauges per contract and customer requirements.
• Improve metrics for safety and 5S workplace organization.
• Report on operational metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist in PPAP, lean initiatives, and FMEA processes.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
