Job summary

Eckceptional Search is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Milwaukee area client to develop, implement, and improve production processes. You will bridge design engineering and the production floor, ensuring production capability, quality, cost, safety, and throughput improvements.

Responsibilities include leading assembly line setup, introducing new products to manufacturing, and driving Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

BS Engineering; a Master’s would be great.
5 to 12 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a large assembly operation.
Proficient CAD skills including Pro-E/Creo and MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma.
Ideally, experience bringing concepts to production on assembly lines.

Responsibilities

Take the lead on setup of assembly line, establish processes and documentation.
Bring mobile equipment products from design hand-off to production.
Plan, support, and lead introduction of products to manufacturing floor; manage integration into existing lines with focus on balance, pfMEA, and line efficiency.
Lead the development of Operation Method Standards for best assembly methods.
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement to reduce waste in processes.
Troubleshoot production line problems and fix defects.
Lead initiatives to mitigate risk, maintain ISO compliance, and reduce costs.
Lead design initiatives within manufacturing, including line/cell layout, tooling and part flow.
Justify capital equipment needs.
Advance safety and ergonomic practices.
