Job summary

Ralliant Corporation in Elizabethtown, NC seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing engineering activities, improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and drive continuous improvement across production cells.

You will mentor technicians, partner with quality, maintenance, and design engineering, manage capital equipment projects, and develop robust work instructions, routings, and process validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in industrial/automation/high-mix environments.
• Strong experience with process improvement, production support, tooling, fixtures, equipment troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Experience leading manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.
• Lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, standard work, and continuous improvement tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience with ERP systems; labor routings, work centers, and manufacturing master data preferred.
• Strong cross-functional communication and leadership across engineering, operations, quality, maintenance, and leadership teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering support for designated production cells, product lines, and processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Troubleshoot equipment, process, tooling, and quality-related issues to support daily production.
• Develop and maintain processes, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and production equipment.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects, escapes, scrap, and rework.
• Support new product introductions, product transfers, and production readiness activities.
• Partner with Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and Production teams to resolve issues.
• Lead capital equipment projects including justification, vendor selection, installation, and qualification.
• Improve labor routings, standard work, cycle times, and manufacturing documentation for costing and planning.
• Develop and maintain validation, test, inspection, and control methods for consistent quality.
• Drive Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and visual management initiatives.
