Job summary

Eaton's Electrical Sector in Omaha, NE is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the 1st Shift. You will design, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes, lead Lean and Kaizen initiatives, and support new product launches to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

You will review process controls, help with cell layouts, SMED, lead times, and waste reduction while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class operations and safe, reliable production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related engineering degree.
• 3+ years of engineering support in a manufacturing environment.
• No relocation benefit; candidates within a 50-mile radius of the Omaha facility eligible.
• Ability to apply Lean and Kaizen methods.

Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for interrelated functions, facilities, products or activities and develop solutions for manufacturing challenges.
• Prepare specifications for products, equipment, tooling, processes and systems.
• Implement strategies to ensure concurrent engineering with the design engineering team.
• Design and justify installation of new concepts, equipment, tooling, processes and systems to optimize manufacturing cost.
• Deploy Lean, Quality and Environment/Safety tools to improve productivity, quality and safety.
• Identify improvements for productivity, quality and business processes; develop and implement solutions and monitor results.
