Job summary

Eaton’s Electrical Sector is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the 1st Shift at our Omaha, NE facility. You will design, implement, and sustain processes, driving Lean and Kaizen improvements to reduce lead times and waste while supporting cost targets and new product launches.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, deploy Industry 4.0 tools, and help optimise productivity and safety in a dynamic manufacturing environment. A 1st shift position based in Omaha is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related engineering degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean concepts and toolset; experience with Industry 4.0 tools is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, improve and sustain manufacturing processes within area of responsibility.
• Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen activities.
• Support cell layout development, SMED, lead time reduction and waste reduction.
• Help achieve product target costs and resolve production process issues for existing products.
• Research and apply new technologies to support new product launches.
