Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to design, commission, and scale assembly operations at a prototyping facility in New York. This hands-on role combines process engineering, equipment deployment, and lean thinking to deliver reliable, manufacturable solutions.

You will work across product design, fabrication, and automation teams to develop methods, drive line readiness, and reduce non-value-added activities while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of direct manufacturing engineering experience in high-volume assembly environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience supporting commissioning, startup, and ramp-up of integrated assembly operations.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge; Green Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product design teams to optimize assembly processes and iterate quickly.
• Develop and validate assembly methods for electromechanical products.
• Drive PFMEA and upstream manufacturing readiness in product development.
• Define line requirements including layout, cycle times, and headcount.
• Manage vendor selection, RFQ, FAT, and deployment for equipment.
• Engage with OEMs and automation integrators to scale production.
