Job summary

Fauna Robotics, an Amazon company, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to shape technical strategy and architecture for robotic software modules enabling robots to operate in real-world settings. You will own end-to-end delivery, drive cross-functional collaboration, and define roadmaps including developer-facing SDKs.

The role emphasizes building scalable, safe, and delightful robot software. The team spans hardware and software; contribute to production systems and help advance robotics

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship software development experience.
• 5+ years leading design or architecture of large and complex systems.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams.
• Bachelor's degree or above in robotics, mechanical/mechatronics, systems engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, statistics, and system design.
• Experience building production-grade software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Drive architecture and design decisions for robotic software systems (perception, navigation, motor control, reasoning, and human-robot interaction).
• Own end-to-end delivery of complex software systems from design through production deployment.
• Lead collaboration across research, ML, hardware, and operations to deliver integrated solutions.
• Define technical roadmaps and develop production-grade SDKs for developers.
• Design tools that accelerate development velocity for multi-disciplinary teams.
