Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida is seeking a manufacturing-focused engineer to provide direction on the integration of components for the New Glenn launch vehicle. You will apply design for manufacturability and tackle production challenges.

Responsibilities include developing work instructions for composites fabrication, controlling build sequence and quality, performing drawing reviews, and supporting repair and rework. Candidates should have strong CAD, scheduling, and issue-tracking skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures or similar manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including GD&T.
• Proficient with CAD tools and office software; ability to author work instructions and disposition non-conforming material.
• Experience developing AS9100/industry-quality processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing work instructions for composites fabrication, inspection, trimming, and assembly.
• Manage build sequence, schedule, and quality of hardware throughout manufacturing.
• Perform engineering drawing reviews and provide final approval for manufacturing.
• Define repair and rework activities and execute root cause analyses for non-conformances.
• Communicate priorities for procurement and fabrication to the team.
