Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, California seeks a seasoned manufacturing engineer to develop and implement processes, layouts, and procedures for assemblies, installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. The role drives adoption of automation, robotics, and CAD/CAM tools to boost efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.

It uses 3D models and digital work instructions to optimize operations.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required to apply.
Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance &/or production operations.
Experience supporting vehicle systems installations & integration into a final product. Experience should include some combination of the following systems: electrical harness installation, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, propulsion systems, avionics, and related systems and/or Structures assembly experience
Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvements
Experience with some combination of the following: experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including: composite fabrication, structural assembly, machining, bonded assemblies &/or installations.
Active Secret security clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years AND Ability to obtain special program access
