Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own end-to-end manufacturing for dexterous manipulation systems. You will define the line, develop equipment technologies, and deploy high-volume automated manufacturing, partnering with design engineering from concept to production.

Qualifications include a mechanical/electrical engineering degree and 6+ years in automated manufacturing, with CAD proficiency and experience in line design, DFM/DFA, and equipment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in automated production environments.
• Experience developing assembly processes for small, precision electromechanical assemblies.
• Experience leading DFM/DFA work that enables scalable, manufacturable designs.
• Experience designing automated assembly lines, including station layout and line balancing.
• Experience working with equipment suppliers from concept to start of production.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD for part, assembly, fixture and layout work.

Responsibilities

• Lead DFM, DFA and design-for-test reviews from concept.
• Define the manufacturing line and deployment of automated lines.
• Develop new equipment technologies and precision assembly methods.
• Establish in-process inspection, end-of-line test, calibration and traceability.
• Evaluate equipment suppliers and manage buy-off through production start.
• Own line performance through metrics like yield, rate and cost.
• Mentor engineers and set standards for line design and processes.
