Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in Marysville, OH. You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams from feasibility through trial production, optimizing assembly processes and ensuring successful new vehicle launches.

Responsibilities include evaluating new designs, developing efficient welding operations, establishing standards, and leading root-cause resolution during launches in a high-volume plant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, with automotive welding experience highly preferred.
• Proficiency in CATIA 3D modeling, engineering blueprint interpretation, and issue management workflows.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving capabilities in high-volume assembly plant environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering feasibility studies and technical evaluations for new model vehicle designs and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with product design engineers to develop high-efficiency assembly and welding operations.
• Create and maintain process standards, equipment operating criteria, robot parameters, and technician training docs.
• Lead cross-functional root cause problem-solving during vehicle trial builds and initial mass production launch.
• Review engineering change requests and incorporate past model lessons learned to prevent production defects.
