Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America in East Liberty, OH is seeking an Assembly Process Engineer to design balanced line sequences using MOST, optimize workstation layouts, and apply lean methods for new model launches.

You will audit and update standard work, analyze data in Excel and VBA to improve throughput, and implement ergonomic countermeasures on the shop floor to protect workers while supporting mass production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Eng or 6 yrs exp.
• 0–6 years in process engineering in high-volume auto assembly.
• Knowledge of MOST, workstation design, line balancing, 5S lean.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Excel; VBA a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and hands-on shop-floor problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop balanced assembly line processes using MOST and lean principles.
• Audit and update standardized work instructions and station cycle times to hit SQCDM targets.
• Analyze big data with Excel formulas and VBA to optimize line workflows.
• Incorporate new model design changes into assembly flow before mass production.
• Implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent injuries on the shop floor.
