Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Principal Manufacturing Engineer for the Customer Service Engineering team in Miramar, FL. You will lead production support for MRO of electrical power and control systems, guiding improvements on the shop floor and mentoring junior engineers.

You will collaborate with technicians, inspectors, quality, operations, and engineering to drive problem solving, TPM, and continuous improvement that enhance reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience solving technical problems in production environments and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME engineering support for production, repair, overhaul, and testing in a fast-paced aerospace MRO environment.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, manufacturing, and test-related issues to minimize downtime and improve product flow.
• Support functional testing by diagnosing failures, improving test processes, and ensuring reliability of test equipment.
• Analyze manufacturing and repair processes to identify opportunities for quality, efficiency, standardization, and cost reduction.
• Develop, improve, and maintain manufacturing instructions, process docs, procedures, and work instructions.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams.
