Job summary

The Marvin Group, a leading defense contractor based in Southern California near LAX, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong aerospace background. You will break down engineer requirements, create manufacturing plans and BOMs, and work with production to optimize processes in a fast-paced environment.

Required: Bachelor's in Engineering, 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, and knowledge of GD&T, blueprints, and NC tooling. CATIA/Creo CAD experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience.
• Experience with FSDA and machining/fabrication is a plus.
• GD&T knowledge is required.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Break down customer engineering requirements per drawing to review manufacturability and create manufacturing planning and BOMs.
• Liaise with manufacturing personnel to improve processes and troubleshoot assembly/machining issues.
• Support production to ensure parts are built to specifications and engineering documents.
• Provide feedback to improve product design for ease of manufacturing and cost reduction.
• Identify and design tooling to aid production processes.
• Coordinate with suppliers and external resources for new/ improved processes.
