Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes for aerospace products, supporting a rapid, cross‑functional production environment on our New Glenn platform. You will translate engineering intents into BOMs, build plans, and actionable work instructions for efficient flight hardware production.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, GD&T knowledge, CAD and office software proficiency, and hands‑on experience with flight hardware.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).

Responsibilities

• Translating engineering intent and drawings into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting manufacturing bill of materials and work instructions.
• Identifying tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware.
• Providing shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
• Non‑conformance report (NCR) generation, management, & closure.
• Supporting introduction of new products by crafting manufacturing plan artifacts including build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity.
• Drive the transition from development to production, proactively performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
