Job summary

Lumicity is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer in California to lead the development of complex hardware from prototype to full production launch, focusing on turbomachinery, power electronics, and energy recovery sectors.

The role requires 6+ years of project leadership, strong experience in NPI and DFA/DFM, PFMEA, and a proven track record in lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement. Competitive base salary with bonus potential and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
• 6+ years' experience leading projects within power generation, energy recovery, turbomachinery, power electronics or similar industries.
• Experience transitioning products from prototype into production.
• Experience in product development, NPI, DFA, DFM, PFMEAs, and production scale-up.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvements, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership in the product development of complex hardware from prototype through to full production launch.
• Produce manufacturing strategies to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
• Lead PFMEA, process validation and manufacturing risk assessments.
• Promote continuous improvements, utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Support supplier and contract manufacturer selection, qualification and manufacturing transfer.
