An innovative engineering organization developing next-generation energy systems in Texas is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of a first-of-a-kind project involving advanced energy technologies, including nuclear. This role is essential to coordinating cross-functional efforts across engineering, regulatory, and construction teams, ensuring that technical milestones are delivered on time and within scope while meeting all safety and compliance objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and execution of detailed project plans for advanced energy system deployment
- Manage scheduling, budgeting, resourcing, and deliverables across multi-phase technical projects
- Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, including engineering, licensing, procurement, and construction
- Oversee project risk identification and mitigation strategies to support program success
- Track project performance using KPIs, reports, and milestone tracking tools for leadership visibility
- Facilitate communication between internal stakeholders and external partners, including regulatory agencies
- Ensure integration of safety, quality, and compliance standards into project planning and execution
- Adapt plans to align with evolving regulatory guidance, technical challenges, or development priorities
Experience Required
- 5+ years of experience managing complex technical projects in a highly regulated industry (e.g., energy, nuclear, aerospace, or infrastructure)
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through planning, execution, and delivery phases
- Experience with project management methodologies, tools, and reporting systems (e.g., PMP, EVM, Agile)
- Familiarity with regulatory and permitting environments related to infrastructure or energy development
- Strong communication and leadership skills, including experience interfacing with technical teams and government agencies
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and changing requirements
Qualifications
- B.S. or higher in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline
- PMP certification or equivalent project management training is preferred
- Experience with nuclear or advanced energy technology projects is a plus
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required
