Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in South Bend, Indiana is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of about 12 Manufacturing Engineers, guiding daily operations and driving productivity, quality and cost reductions at our aerospace site.

You will report to the Sr. Director, Manufacturing Engineering and partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Engineering to advance Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of manufacturing engineering or related experience.
• Proven experience leading manufacturing process improvements in production environments.
• Experience supervising or developing engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, process development, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to solve complex manufacturing and operational challenges in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of Manufacturing Engineers, setting priorities and driving execution.
• Provide engineering leadership for day-to-day production activities and issue resolution.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and operational excellence initiatives across operations.
• Develop and implement long-term manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
• Own manufacturing methods, process flows, tooling, and production standards.
• Oversee documentation and training related to manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, Product Engineering, and Supply Chain.
