Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a Controller to oversee the entire accounting operation, including financial reporting and budgeting, for our Grand Rapids facility.

The role includes leading the accounting staff, ensuring accuracy of journal entries, and maintaining strong controls over payables, receivables, and audits. You will analyze financial statements, produce management reports, and support strategic financial decisions.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree with focus on accounting and/or finance.
• Five to ten years managing financial/accounting department.
• Three years experience in manufacturing related environment.
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements and identify potential problems.
• CPA preferred; corrugated industry and cash management experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operation including financial reports and budget.
• Manage and evaluate accounting staff including payroll administrator.
• Review all journal entries for financial statements.
• Analyze financial statements and prepare special reports.
• Review accounts payables and receivables for accuracy.
• Evaluate credit applications and oversee collections.
