Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a high-capacity Controller to oversee the entire accounting operation, including financial reporting and budgeting. You will supervise accounting staff, ensure accuracy of journal entries, and produce analyses and special reports for management.

Ideal candidates have an undergraduate degree in accounting/finance, 5–10 years in financial department management, and 3 years in manufacturing. CPA and corrugated industry experience are pluses.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree focused on accounting/finance.
• Five to ten years managing a financial/accounting department.
• Three years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements and identify issues.
• Preferred: CPA; experience in corrugated/manufacturing and cash management; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations including financial reporting and budgeting.
• Manage and develop accounting staff (including payroll administrator) to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Review journal entries for financial statements.
• Analyze financial statements and prepare special reports.
• Review accounts payable and receivable for accuracy.
• Evaluate credit applications and oversee collections.
