Job summary

Sensor Systems LLC is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Controller to own the accounting function across two companies. You will report to the CFO/COO and lead the on-site finance team, driving audit readiness and integration of acquisitions into our books and ERP.

The role requires deep inventory/cost accounting expertise and a proven track record in manufacturing, audits, and closing processes. A CPA and DFARS/ADP familiarity are pluses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with 3+ years as controller in manufacturing.
• Hands-on inventory and cost accounting experience (standard costing, WIP, overhead).
• Experience closing books and leading audits or reviews.
• Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
• U.S. person status for ITAR-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory accounting across materials, WIP and finished goods; standard costs, overhead absorption, variance analysis.
• Lead cycle counts and reconcile ERP (Infor Visual) to the general ledger.
• Own monthly close and produce consolidated statements with variance commentary.
• Manage audits, PBC schedules, and QoE engagement preparation.
• Lead accounting integration for acquisitions and chart of accounts mapping.
• Design and document internal controls; improve reporting and automate reconciliations.
