The ideal candidate has 10+ years in manufacturing accounting, a CPA/CMA or advanced degree preferred, and deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting, and Oracle ERP.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience with leadership in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA/CMA or advanced degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Experience managing close activities, budgets, forecasts, and internal controls.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, ensuring accurate financial statements and timely reporting under U.S. GAAP and corporate requirements.
• Oversee standard costs, inventory valuation, overhead allocation, and physical inventory procedures. Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances to identify opportunities to improve margins.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining adequate and effective internal control system for all locations.
• Support decisions related to production efficiency, product profitability, pricing, capital expenditures, and working capital.
• Coordinate and manage year-end audit with outside audit firm.
• Lead and coach the accounting team, improve ERP and reporting capabilities, and streamline workflows as the business grows.

A multimillion-dollar privately held manufacturer, part of a billion-dollar global organization, is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead its accounting operations and support business performance. This role combines the visibility and influence of a local leadership position with the resources and reach of a global company.

The Controller will oversee month-end closing, budgeting, cost accounting, help strengthen internal controls and partner with operations.
