Job summary

Amgen seeks a Sr. Mfg Systems Engineer (Automation) to advance automation reliability and lifecycle ownership across biopharma manufacturing. You will drive control system design, digital transformation, and regulatory compliance, partnering with IT, manufacturing, and vendor teams.

The role emphasizes AVEVA Wonderware Intouch, Rockwell PLC/SCADA, and MES/SCADA integration to improve safety, reliability, and throughput while supporting ongoing validation and audits.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s with manufacturing automation experience.
• Experience in GMP biopharma automation and lifecycle support.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead MES, SCADA, PLC integration projects and other manufacturing IT systems.
• Define system requirements with cross-functional teams to meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain system documentation, design specs, and test plans.
• Ensure GMP compliance, data integrity, and cybersecurity requirements.
• Support validation, change control, audits, and CAPAs as needed.
• Train users and promote continuous improvement in automation.
