Job summary

Amgen seeks a Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer to drive IS/Automation across a state-of-the-art drug substance facility. You will guide projects, assess feasibility, and translate business needs into compliant, scalable system solutions.

The role requires deep experience with DeltaV, Rockwell PLCs, data historians, and MES capabilities, alongside strong cross‑functional collaboration and regulatory savvy.

Qualifications

• Doctorate/masters with IS/automation experience or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing/biotech environments preferred.
• Knowledge of GAMP, ISA-S88/S95 standards and validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead IS/Automation project delivery with portfolio planning and risk management.
• Assess feasibility, scope projects, and propose optimal solutions.
• Translate opportunities into executable plans aligned to standards.
• Collaborate with IS service owners, business partners, and vendors.
