Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for Manufacturing Automation in California. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of automated manufacturing systems across Anduril factories, driving DFM/DFA and end-to-end process ownership.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage automation projects, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to achieve high-rate production, throughput, quality, and safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years in manufacturing or process engineering with a focus on automation.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software (NX or similar) and DFM/DFA principles.
• Experience integrating robotics, CNC, additive manufacturing, and automated inspection.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated solutions to production processes from concept through production.
• Drive design for manufacturing and assembly using automation fundamentals.
• Audit current production capabilities to identify throughput, quality, cost, and safety improvements.
• Design, develop, and implement robust automated manufacturing processes.
• Specify, procure, and validate tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Create manufacturing documentation and control plans.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and automation methodologies.
• Lead projects on process improvement, automation, and capacity expansion.
• Provide technical support and train production teams on new processes.
