Job summary

Anduril Industries in California is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Manufacturing Automation. You will lead the mechanical design of automated manufacturing equipment from concept through commissioning, collaborate with electrical and controls teams, and build fixtures, EOAT, and tooling for scalable production. The role requires a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and 4+ years in automation or robotics, with NX and AutoCAD proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar field.
• 4+ years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on automation, machinery, or robotics.
• Strong 3D CAD capability in NX and 2D CAD in AutoCAD.
• Experience with fabrication processes including machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and additive manufacturing.
• U.S. Person due to access requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design of automated manufacturing equipment from concept to commissioning and handover.
• Develop system-level designs, simulations, and engineering studies to de-risk concepts.
• Perform simulations for robotic systems and equipment, including reach studies and architecture.
• Design, build, and integrate fixtures, tooling, EOAT for automation applications.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs; select mechanical components.
• Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and issue resolution during rollout.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, and robotics engineers for seamless integration.
