Job summary

Fortive is seeking an experienced Operations Leader to drive performance across multiple product lines while safeguarding associates’ safety and ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets. The role emphasizes Lean culture, data-driven decision-making, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead budgeting, scheduling, and forecasting, with accountability for KPI oversight and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–8 years of progressive operations and cross-functional management experience.
• Experience managing across multiple product lines or departments.
• Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in engineering or a technical field.
• Proven track record applying Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Ability to travel up to 15–20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional operations across multiple product lines and departments while prioritizing associate safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost/inventory optimization.
• Drive results through Daily Management and Lean practices across functions.
• Prepare and maintain production reports, logs, and KPI dashboards for senior leadership.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth production flow.
• Mentor leaders in Fortive Business System and continuous improvement methods.
• Oversee planning/scheduling to ensure timely receipts and shipments across product lines.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and absorption accounting related to multiple lines.
• Communicate effectively with senior leadership and frontline teams to motivate and align goals.
• Partner with HR on talent development and succession planning across departments.
• Lead regular reviews to track progress against improvement projects and KPIs.
• Manage ~20 hourly employees across product lines.
