Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. seeks a skilled accounting professional to assist the Controller in producing accurate financial statements and supporting the month-end close.

You will analyze accounts, reconcile ledgers, and prepare accruals, schedules, and variance analyses while ensuring compliance with financial policies. Responsibilities include general ledger review, intercompany reconciliations, inventory integrity, and participation in audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business - CPA certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-large manufacturing accounting experience.
• Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll working knowledge.
• Experience in assessing, analyzing and improving business performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Skills – Strong Excel spreadsheet working knowledge, Word, and PowerPoint. SAP proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller in producing accurate and timely financial statements.
• Assist in the month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation.
• Assist in special projects as necessary.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end reporting, preparing accruals and schedules, and submitting monthly financial reporting packages.
• Post monthly journal entries (standard, accruals, and misc.).
• Corporate reporting and account reconciliations (analysis and variances).
• Ensure Intercompany balances at month end.
• Audit coordination with external and internal teams.
