Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller for a full-time, salary-exempt role at our Ohio plant.

You will work closely with the Controller to oversee daily accounting activities, prepare financial reports, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting while collaborating across departments to ensure invoicing accuracy and timely transactions. This hands-on position requires strong Excel skills, SAP experience, and a disciplined approach to inventory and month-end close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• 3+ years in a general accounting support function (AP/AR).
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and SAP; manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller in daily accounting activities: AR, AP, GL, inventory, reconciliations, month-end close.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly financial reports, including plant P&L statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and weekly forecast meetings.
• Post journal entries; verify general ledger accuracy.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure timely payments and invoicing accuracy.
